Let it Rot!

|
I've lived in Louisville for a little over a year now. I have witnessed severe snow storms that left one of it's interstates in turmoil for more than 4 hours. As I was one of many who was trapped on it. I have witnessed it's pathetic attempt of recovery from the damaging winds from Hurricane Ike. The clean up alone took way to long.

Now recently with the flooding recovery and preparedness. After the flood of 1997, it would appear that they made no attempt to fix issues that would prevent it in the future. It knew of it's current potential for flooding. Just from normal rainfall you could see areas of standing water. I-264 had way to much standing water on it and drain off was poor. No wonder it flooded recently making it impassable. The city of Louisville has some serious issues when it comes to priority, planning, judgment, use of funds and knowledge of various systems to help it run smoothly as a functioning city. The city processes and systems are severely antiquated when compared to other cities.

People here seriously need to start voicing opinions and suggestions. Those that are able to relocate and move should consider moving to other states.

SERIOUSLY. Louisville should also consider taking notes from other viable successful running cities. Contrary to popular belief, I don't see Louisville as a successfully growing city. OOHH a new Arena being built. Fuck that! You didn't need it, you have other priorities you should have spent the money on. Louisville's use of the taxpayers money is a waste. RUN! Let this place ROT!

The bridges over the Ohio river are in dyer need of upgrade or replacement. Indiana has the funds for their half of the bridge project. Louisville/Kentucky does not. In fact they feel that the funds that are saved, are not going anywhere and if it doesn't get going, they feel that they should use the money in other areas. Just another example of how Louisville is dead weight.

Anyone that feels that Louisville is a WONDERFUL city, really needs to get out more to other surrounding states and cities and take a hard look around.
