Lights Out!

Welp, I officially never want to see another "UNO Card" again, after a week of having no power.

Trying to figure out which is blue and which is green in the dark is a pain in the ass! I'm sick of cards.

If you noticed the news last week, remnants of hurricane Ike came through Kentucky last Sunday (14th) and put our power out, at about 1pm. Apparently 300,000 people were without power because of it. I'm sure there are some folks still without power now. You would have thought the world was coming to an end with these people around here. Running around like frickin' idiots buying up all the gas, with gas stations running out. A few of the Krogers in the area were without power as well. Wal-mart wasn't though, which made for a Madhouse!

I didn't go to work all last week either. No power, equals no hot water mind you. Taking a whore bath every morning and trying to shave holding a flashlight, does not make for a good morning. Then giving the fact that all the food in the frig went bad. We had to adventure out for our meals. So in light of all of that I didn't want to be bothered with going to work all day. Then coming home tired to a dark apartment, trying to find my way around by candle light.

Our power got restored this Saturday (20th) afternoon around 4pm. Never been so titillated to take a shower in all my life. Well there was this time when a rather endowed 6 foot 3 man was involved once. But, that is another post.

Up until this morning I had almost a full beard going on. I hate shaving! I wasn't about to if I didn't have to. I did manage to get all my laundry washed on Sunday and make my butt back to work this week.

Fading Fast

I am quite aware that I do not blog as much as I use to when I started. Blogging has always been this form of therapeutic release.

People eventually reach their end when they feel they no longer feel they have anything new to say or to share or willing to share. In my case, it's willing to share, on one level. In previous postings, way way back when I exposed rather intimate and emotional periods of my so called life.

Perhaps I am just at a point where I don't have anything to say anymore. Anything that is uplifting or good anyway. Something happened to me 3 1/2 yrs ago that has shut me down to letting the rest of the world in. I have developed this psychological block for very little social and physical interaction. It has hindered my trust and in return I have built a wall. That's all I wish to disclose until details have been shared outside of this blog.

Anywho, Blogging is dying. There are loads of blogs that have come and gone. Their are blogs that don't even get updated as much as they use to. There are blogs mentioning that they don't have the readers that they use to.

Sure there are the good blogs out there that update and have something interesting to say everyday. Voicing their views on politics, religion, sex and money. Those that share their ins and outs of sexual escapades. Even those that only share porn pictures they come across on the internet.

Honestly, Politics and religion are boring. They are good heated topics though that are bound to generate comments, if that is your basis. Controversial subjects are always the attention getters.

I read CNN, MSNBC, and the local newspaper sites almost every day, I get my fill of plenty politics, religion, and local happenings. By the end of the day, I'd rather read mindless drivel or look at stimulating content. We are busy and stressed people these days. At the end of a work day we are mentally and possibly physically exhausted.

We are just flooded with choices now, which makes for way to much reading. Unless we are new to the blog world as a reader, we by now have the set number of blogs we frequent on a regular basis. Not sure anyone is running out trying to find new blogs to read.

I've turned my attention to porn blogs. Mainly, cause I don't want to read anymore. I'm also the typical red blooded horny male. Just like David Duchovny, I Todd admit I am addicted to internet porn. Call me David!, we'll look at porn together ;)

However, I do have my regular set of blogs I do read and check out on a daily basis. My days of having anything trivial or interesting to say in my blog are probably over. I'm not exactly the intellectual type or witty, clever, bitchy or narcissistic.

Blogs are fading out, wonder what is going to be next?
